Using Electricity

You need a complete circuit for making electricity
Current: Flow of electrons
- measured with an ammeter
- size of current is the rate at which charge is flowing
- Charge (Q) is measured in Coulombs (C - 6.25x108 electrons p/s)
- Current (I) is measured in Amperes (A)
- I (current) = Q (Charge)/t (time)
Ammeter: measures flow of electrons
- must be placed in a series circuit
- has low resistance, so if in parralel circuit, current would flow through it and not bulb, because current takes the route with the least resistance.
